FastCAM MTO

|
FastCAM® MTO makes the laborious task of RFQ's requiring Materials Take-Off fast and simple. It is not CAD, Excel or a Macro. It's easier!
FastCAM® MTO provides the fastest method of entering materials into 'sortable' lists for estimating and factory production. Eliminate time consuming Request for Quotations (RFQ's) requiring manual take-offs (MTO's), do it once and get it right first time. You'll never have to re-type material lists again!
Simply enter data direct from the command line or use the drop down catalogue list to select sections. You can even go a step further and use the data in an external estimating and quoting system like FastCAM® QE to produce accurate and optimized quotes based on exact stock sizes.
FastCAM® MTO highlights:
Inbuilt catalogues for all Standard Sections
Inch or Metric Data input / output
Cut/paste to & from Excel, Word and most Window Apps
Data includes mass and surface area of all items
Command line data entry for fast predictive data entry
Powerful reporting allows sorting on multiple fields
Catalogue editor: Import, update and maintain
Setup alias names for non-standard sections
Optional DSTV/BOM data entry from 3D CAD Systems
Powerful print preview with zoom

Why is FastCAM® MTO Free?
We've made FastCAM® MTO Free because of the need to establish a Take-Off Standard for the Steel Industry. As it stands, many lists are handwritten. Where a spreadsheet is used it's not in a standard way and they aren't able to contain the detail of hand drawings. With FastCAM® MTO, you can tackle RFQ's with ease and create your fastest ever take-offs.
Is it a free trial.. What's the 'catch'?
No catch. It is not a trial version or a demo like our other downloads. It is not time-limited or restricted in any way. You can use the software indefinitely. You do not need any other FastCAM® or 3rd party software other than Microsoft Windows. We only require that you register your details with us.
What do I have to do to get it?
First, you need to download the software (6MEG). This will take you about 1/2 hour by modem. The software will work for 30 days without you having to give us your details. If you decide to use the product, the second step will be to register with us. Registration is free. After you register we will email you back a Password and License Agreement giving you permission to use the software freely. Note: If you don't register the product will expire after 30 days.
Is FastCAM® MTO multi-user?
No. It is not multi-user or a network version however you can send the data in the form of an email attachment and have FastCAM® MTO on as many individual PC's as you like. You do however need to register separately because each password is linked to the 'unique footprint' of a PC. Multiple registrations are free.
What is the FastCAM® MTO file format?
The MTO file has been created by FastCAM Inc. for storage and information specific to structural steel and related industry. The FastCAM® MTO product reads and creates these MTO files. The MTO file format is owned by FastCAM however it can be used freely by all parties for the purpose of communication within the metals service industry.
Permission to Use the FastCAM® MTO file format in Other Programs
If you are a developer of a 3rd party application, you may want to use the MTO file format definition so that your application can also import and read these MTO files. This is generally freely permissable by FastCAM with some standard ownership provisions. For example, a condition of use is the inclusion and maintenance of copyright information. (Note that for an MTO file to be read by FastCAM® programs it must contain the correct copyright and version information.) FastCAM would also seek written assurances that the program is not intended as competition with the FastCAM® products. Developers and third parties should seek permission with FastCAM directly.
